Type: Cardmaking
Materials: Paper, Ink & Christmas Cheer
It has become a bit of a tradition for me to make an annual Christmas card- usually somewhat cat-themed.
To the right you can see 2025's card: the rough design -made in Procreate and the final print alongside it. The illustration was based on the last page of a comic I made (below).

This was a christmas comic featuring my partner's brothers cats. A story showing each of their distinct personalities in a Christmas context.

The ugliest cards you ever did see.
The first lino print I made, you can tell my inexperience with the medium and lack of equipment. I used acrylic paint and burnished this with a spoon. It yielded poor results.

The first cards I made featured our cat, Funnynose, and were drawn with markers. I soon realised that drawing each card by hand would be far too time-consuming, so the following years I switched to formats that were easier to reproduce. Often linocuts or digital prints.
